In August of 2002 Emily, Meredith, and I went back east for a visit with family and to check out some potential colleges for Emily's future scholastic adventure. Here are some photos from the trip!

After a day in Hopkinton with Steve and his family, we went to Rochester to visit Bob and Signe, and to tour The University of Rochester. The girls had never met Signe, and I had not seen her since 1987 or so.

After that we had a day of relaxation in Hopkinton and a tour of Harvard.

Next, we were off to New York for a tour and a wonderful reunion with Elisabeth, who the girls had never met and I had not seen since the mid '70s! Kathleen came down to join us and Elisabeth's friend Rob filled out our group for a great day in the City. We started the day with a trip on the Circle Line, and ended at the top of the Empire State Building.

Our next adventure was to Washington DC for a quick tour and more specially a brief visit with Jennifer, who the girls had also not met, and I had not seen for much to long!

Our next stop was in Lusby, MD for a visit with John and Vernie, which was certainly not long enough! Steve and I found ourselves in a mad dash over to Virginia to pick up Renee from her camp session which ended a day earlier than we anticipated! We did manage, however to have a very nice visit and Renee got to see John and Vernie.

We wound up back in Hopkinton and enjoyed a bit of down time and Eric's 11th birthday before returning to our home in Colorado Springs.
