Once upon a time (I'm not really sure what year...) Tom, Steve, and I took a week long backing trip to a really beautiful spot in a basin on Mount Gunnison, which is located about 15 miles southeast of Paonia, Colorado. I lived in Paonia for 15 years, but never took the time to visit this area. The get-together with Tom and Steve was the perfect excuse!
